The Broken Flipper is a home arcade located in Neenah, Wisconsin. The owner has been a big fan of pinball since he was a child. In 2012 he bought his first pinball, F-14 Tomcat. From there he got the itch to build a fun place that he and his friends/family and other pinball enthusiasts could hang out at.
In 2020 he moved into his new home that had a 1850 sqft unfinished basement. Well, of course that means it will be turned into the ultimate game room. The remodel finished around Thanksgiving 2022.
Each year, more games are added and now as of 2025 we hit capacity of what this space can have without removing games.

An early set up before we had computers.
Our Theater Set up
When we planned the layout of this place, we knew that we were going to install a projector that was at the old house, but wasn’t sure how it would be set. We did things a bit backward that we mounted the projector first, and then bought a custom sized screen to match it (way less expensive than you’d think). Then we got 4 octane home theater seats. We debated doing two rows of 4, but a pool table needed the room.
The projector is Full HD, with 3D support, with a 135″ screen. It’s not a fancy projector, but it is clear enough to get immersed into any experience.
For audio, we kept it simple with as few cables as possible, but also wanted to support surround sound when needed, so we did a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 system.
